What Book Coaches Should Automate

And while that’s mostly true… the trick is knowing when, and where, automation will enhance your coaching services and not replace the human elements that make it special.

Think of the repetitive, time-draining tasks in your business that don’t need your manual input. Setting these up once can free up hours every month.

1. Scheduling Calls

Use tools like Calendly or the scheduler in your CRM to let clients book sessions automatically based on your availability. No more back-and-forth emails.

2. Client Intake Forms

Create a a branded onboarding form template you can send as soon as a new client books a package with you. Include everything you need up front: goals, outline and page deadlines, contact info, etc.

3. Payment Reminders and Invoicing

Set up automated invoices and reminder emails in your CRM or your payment processing platform to help you stay paid on time—without awkward follow-ups or missed payments.

4. Session Reminders

A quick email or calendar notification sent automatically helps clients stay on track (and keeps you from having to remember to send it).

5. Welcome & Onboarding Sequences

An automated welcome email that outlines what to expect, how to access sessions, and how to contact you can set the tone for a great relationship with your book coaching clients.

Automation Isn’t About Doing Less—It’s About Doing More of What Matters

When you automate the right things, you create space helping writers achieve their dream.
